Whodunit for September: Secrets, Lies & A Killer Birthday Read
One prophecy, one murder, and one niece racing to solve a mystery before history repeats itself!
Hey Lovies!
It’s September—my birthday month! Yes, I’m a Virgo (duh). You know I love a good book, whether it’s a thriller that keeps me on the edge of my seat, a mystery that makes me put on my investigative hat, a crime story straight out of Law & Order, or a romance that makes my heart swoon. Honestly, I love them all.
So, I’m starting a little Book of the Month—or as I like to call it, the BOM series. For September, I’ve chosen not just any mystery, but a classic whodunit featuring a female amateur investigator.
So grab your magnifying glass, a notepad, a hot beverage, and a fluffy blanket, because this one’s a page-turner and a doozie.
This month’s book is How to Solve Your Own Murder by Kristen Perrin
Here’s a brief overview:
Frances Adams always believed she’d be murdered—and decades later, she was right. In 1965, a fortune-teller’s chilling prediction becomes Frances’s life’s obsession: solving the crime of her own future death. Nearly sixty years later, her great-niece Annie arrives in the quaint village of Castle Knoll, only to find Frances dead exactly as foretold. Now Annie must untangle a web of secrets, lies, and eccentric villagers—each with a motive. But as she digs deeper, Annie realizes the killer may be watching her every move, and uncovering the truth could cost her the same fate as her aunt.
