I had the pleasure of attending the Dexter: Resurection advance screening of the first episode and Q&A from the cast. I didn’t think that it could live up to the original series.I had been content with the first spinoff, Dexter:New Blood, that was set 10 years after the original series’ finale. The show had 6 great seasons and displayed a new Dexter, all alone, well until Harrison showed up.

The premiere of the prequel, Dexter:Original Sin, was a pleasant surprise and set in Dexter’s teenage and college years. The premiere episode was literally PERFECT!!! And I’m not over hyping it, the casting team did an amazing job. The storylines followed as closely to the original timeline as they could, thy did make a few minor changing but it didn’t hurt the flow of the season. Unfortunately, Original Sin was first renewed for a second season then it paced on pause due to network executive seats changes.

The first episode showed the the aftermath of Dexter getting shot by Harrison and a few surprise visitors. Unbeknownst to him, Harrison is starting a new life in New York City working as a hotel bellboy, he seems happy..at first.

If the first episode gave THAT much, what will the rest of the season be like?
